I'm pretty pleased with the progress I've made this week. Given the level of unhappiness in our family (hello teething!) it's amazing I got any sewing done.
First up, my Flora Charm Quilt. I'd estimate I've finished about a third of my HSTs and the sure are purrrrrdy.
After a brief hiatus, I'm back on the horse. Yes, I've started farming again. I got two blocks done this week and a third is very close to complete. First up is Spool, made with my very favorite print of all time - jewels. I have it in almost every colour available.
Next up is Buzzard's Roost. This one's a bit too busy, and maybe not enough contrast happening, but I'm not redoing it.
And in progress is being made on Broken Sugar Bowl. I LOVE the cream fabric. You probably can't see this but it's got gold in it. So lovely.
Last, but certainly not least, I have finished my Wonky Log Cabin Placemats. And just in time because my dining room table could use some colour. I'll post photos once I run them through the wash and they get all crinkly.
I'm considering adding a new project to my ever growing list. Jenna at Sew Happy Geek is hosting a mini quilt competition. The idea is to choose a card from a standard deck and design a mini quilt based on it. The prizes are excellent. I've got my thinking cap on and if I can come up with an idea that's interesting enough, I'm in.

ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are keeping busy in spite of teething issues!
ReplyDeleteI can sympathize about the teething. My granddaughter is now getting her back teeth...I feel so sorry for them. I'm glad to see that you are still quilting for your own sanity's sake:)
ReplyDeleteLovely work....and if you are still nursing you might try taking a vitamin C supplement several times each day, it helped one of my children's teething enormously.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
my kids are grown up now but I can still remember the teething days. It's quite hard on them and on us. Nevertheless you got quite a bit of sewing done. Love your FW blocks and the HST are looking very nice, too.
